On Tuesday 20 May and Wednesday 21 May, the Principal Investigator of Voices of the Rainforest, Dr Syafiq Mat Noor, together with Dr Siti Nur Diyana Mahmud and Dr Zanisah Man from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, hosted a two-day showcase celebrating the recent milestones achieved by the project. They were supported by postgraduate researchers Muhammad Zulfadhli Kamarudin and Mardhiah Hanum Omar.

The showcase highlighted the achievements and progress to date of Voices of the Rainforest. Attendees were invited to view a newly produced project video offering an in-depth overview of its aims, accomplishments, and the potential application of its findings in developing a curriculum based on traditional ecological knowledge, thereby contributing to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the indigenous communities involved.

The principal researchers presented key findings and the methodologies employed, followed by a Q&A session with the audience. Hand-crafted items, including intricately woven crowns and cloths brought from Malaysia, were displayed, and local honey was offered for sampling.
