Dr Nur Izzati Abdullah

Dr Nur Izzati Abdullah is a Conservation Biologist with over five years of experience in forest and wildlife conservation, habitat restoration, and ecological research. She holds a PhD in Biology (Wildlife Management) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, where she also completed her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees. She has a proven track record in research collaboration with government agencies, non-governmental organisations, and indigenous communities to develop impactful conservation strategies and initiatives that promote biodiversity protection. Her early involvement in STEM education, particularly in nature-based education during her Master’s degree, sparked her passion to be part of the research team. In Voices of the Rainforest, Izzati is working on the education work packages, including undertaking a systematic literature review, interviewing teachers, assisting with the management and organisation of data collection, and acting as a liaison officer with the school partners.
