Qayherah Ahmad Zam Zam graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Social Science and completed her Master of Social Science in Anthropology and Sociology from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia. Her area of specialisation is Social Anthropology, with a strong passion and interest in tourism, ethnographic studies, sustainability, the cultural identity of indigenous peoples, cultural heritage, and community development. From 2010 to 2011, she actively participated in academic research projects at the Centre for Research on Women and Gender (KANITA) at USM, utilising both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. She also gained teaching experience as a tutor at the School of Social Sciences, USM, from 2011 to 2012, where she taught an Introduction to Anthropology and Sociology course for undergraduate students. In the Voices of the Rainforest project, Qayherah is working on the anthropology work packages, where she is leading the fieldwork as a Research Assistant and serving as a liaison officer for one of the research sites with the Jahai communities in Perak and Kelantan.
