The Climate–Nature–Indigenous Peoples Nexus reflects the deep and reciprocal connections among climatology, the environment and indigenous communities. It recognises that indigenous peoples have long served as custodians of nature, maintaining ecosystems through indigenous knowledge that emphasises balance, interdependence and respect for the natural world.
